C. Text is an artist whose work embodies language, text, ephemera and poetry. Her prolific output has seen work that moves across the arts from page to gallery installations and performances.

Her breathing using Morse code was first performed in 2012 and heralded the conceptual rigour of her practice. The later text-weaves (handwritten pages stripped and woven) were published in The Capilano Review (TCR), and one is held in the James Wallace Arts Trust. Axon Journal has published her contexti (shredded handwritten pages).

C. Text’s poetry has appeared in numerous publications as ‘Kelly Malone’ from Shearsman Magazine,  fillingStation, to NZEPC. She has been acknowledged as an influential figure in the experimental work of poets from Aotearoa in Jacket 2 by Vaughan Rapatahana and Over Hear by Lisa Samuels. Malone was a finalist for the 2016-17 Leslie Scalapino Award for Innovative Women Performance Writers.

C. Text has performed with her contexti work in Venice (2017), New York (2018), Newcastle, N.S.W (2018) and through various iterations in Aotearoa (New Zealand).
